From the Manufacturer This is a 1/72 scale MRC/Academy plastic model kit part of Academy's "Modern Aircraft Series". The F/A-18D Hornet is a two-seat combat aircraft used primarily by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. It was designed as a carrier capable lightweight fighter. This twin-seat Hornet includes a highly detailed cockpit, optional position canopy, finely engraved panel lines, exceptionally detailed landing gear and bay doors. Doors and air brake can be positioned opened or closed A full complement of underwing weapons such as the AIM-7M Sparrow, GBU-12 Paveway, AIM-9L/M Sidewinder, BRU-33 VER, AN/ASQ-173 LDT/SCAM Pod, AN/AAR-50 TINS pod and FLIR pods, plus three 330 gallon external fuel tanks are also included. A precise painting and decal placement guide provide four accurate finishing choices, including F/A-18D Vikings, Bengals, Moonlighters and Hawks.
